Assemblies in our college are revered. They are an avenue where the management takes the opportunity to inform learners about important issues. It’s also an avenue where learners, staff and the management have an opportunity for face-to-face interaction. This, as has always been the case, allow for an open conversation about college matters.
Our term 3 assembly took place on Wednesday 26th September 2024 in our main campus, Shalom House, Nairobi. It was also a very important occasion as we welcomed new students who joined us this term for various courses on offer. This was a day of worship, interaction and having a common understanding for all the Diakonia fraternity in attendance. Students had a chance to engage the faculty and administration a number of issues affecting their academic lives in the institute. Through the QA session spearheaded by our principal, Mr. Kevin Menya, students got to appreciate the provision of a two-way communication channel that ensures that Diakonia Training Institute keeps growing.
Among the announcements that took centerstage included the planning our our first graduation ceremony slated for December 5th. Others included registration for external exams, co-curricular college activities and syllabus coverage. Students were also encouraged to embrace the spirit of service to humanity as our brand name is derived from this.
