Diakonia Training Institute students and staff were privileged to visit Anita’s Home in Ngong. Also in attendance were staff and boys from Ndugu Mdogo Rescue Centre, Kibera.
Charity events are meant to impart first-hand experience in social values on students. This experience, in addition to the knowledge gained in class, goes a long way in shaping a conducive and cohesive society.
It was a day full of fun delivered through interactions, sports, games and communal lunch and snacks. Diakonia fraternity visited bearing gifts for the children and really appreciated the hospitality of the hosts. We look forward to similar events as we strive to serve our communities.
